While You Were Sleeping – The Documentary (2021) picks up on photographer Darren Soh’s earlier work in his books While You Were Sleeping (2004) and In The Still of the Night (2015). As he revisits old places and discovers new ones, he explores the tension between the wild and built environment of Singapore.
The film was produced with the support of the Digital Presentation Grant for the Arts from the National Arts Council, as part of #SGCultureAnywhere.
It was nominated in the National Youth Film Awards 2021 Open Youth Documentary section.
